Each day, laptop and children permitting, I’ll share a prompt that’s been on my mind, and a few of my thoughts.
You are welcome to share your own perspective in the comments, or just journal it out!
What legacy do I want to leave behind? What does that mean about my daily to-do list?
Last night, we said goodbye to our kids’ last surviving great-grandmother. We’ve lost loved ones before, but, this time, we had the gift of being present during precious final moments.
History hung in the picture frames on the walls. I watched love and gratitude and memories flit across the tear-stained faces around the room.
It was expected, and peaceful.
But, it got me thinking. What will I leave behind when I go?
I can’t spend every day living as if I were dying. We’ve talked before about zooming in and zooming out (Episode # 28).
But, what values require more follow through from me? How much focus do I really want to spend on the numbers on the scale? How much longer do I want to put off my dreams? What are those dreams in the long run?
A room full of love?
These questions remind me why I came out of the gate with so much passion for progress and purpose in the first place.
I won’t run a half marathon overnight, but I can pay more attention to how I invest my time. I can’t control my circumstances, but I can respond with intention.
Attention + Intention
That’s where the magic is at, friends.
The question is, what does that look like for you?
