100 Days of Journal Prompts: Day 46

Each day, laptop and children permitting, I’ll share a prompt that’s been on my mind, and a few of my thoughts.

You are welcome to share your own perspective in the comments, or just journal it out!

How can I make more memories that matter to me today?

My word for 2021 is hygge.

This Danish term describes a feeling of coziness, togetherness, and presence in the moment. While some environmental factors can come into play (a candle, a soft blanket, an evening at home), more than that, it’s a state of mind.

Looking back over my favorite memories, that feeling of presence and togetherness in (or with) the moment is almost always a key component.

You see, memories are a beautiful way to let the light in during difficult times, but they also make great markers for what we value and the kind of life we hope to create.

I’m not encouraging you to live in the past, but find what makes a memory special for you – connection, presence, abundance – and carry it forward.

How can you apply those values to where you are at today?

❤ Jenny
