Each day, laptop and children permitting, Iโll share a prompt thatโs been on my mind, and a few of my thoughts.

Drive or Fly?
The other day I told a friend how close we live to our parents (45-55 minutes).
To which Joe responded, “No, no – it’s only 35-45. You just hate the car!”
Truth ๐ .
He loves scenic drives. I spend the whole time counting the seconds till we return home.
And that’s not even taking road trips into account.
We live about 9 hours from Disneyland (with traffic), and I’d still rather drive.
If you could fly or drive, which would you choose?

I’m kind of torn. I don’t love flying, but I don’t love driving either. I know the statistics that driving is safer, but I’m more likely going to survive a car crash than a plane crash. Hmmm…is a horse and buggy an option? ๐

Aww… thanks. I’ve also got a messy bedroom and I’m indecisive… or maybe I’m not. I’m not really sure. ๐

I have had to take a lot of road trip and it is always so stressful for me. Never travelled by air either. So I can’t say

It’s a tricky choice!

Depends on how much time I have… like if I’m going 500 miles away for a three-day weekend, it’s probably better to fly, but the same trip in the middle of a month off work, I’d want to drive.

Great point! I don’t actually mind driving if I can spread it out and make the trip long enough to be worth it.

I enjoy both. Driving lets me see the scenery but flying gets me to other countries ๐

Up to about 5 hours I think car is fine, much more than that flying is my choice.

That’s a great rule of thumb!
