#50: Parents, how do you handle #burnout ?!!

Today’s prompt is:

Feel free to listen in and share your own thoughts πŸ‘‡πŸ½.

In honor of Mother’s Day coming up, will you help a fellow mama out today?

We’ve had more than a few meltdowns at our house lately, and frankly, sometimes all four of us – my kids, my, my husband, and myself – all hit empty at the same time.

But here’s the thing.

We, as parents, preferably, still need to act like the adults in those moments!

So, what do you do?!

I am taking any and all suggestions at this point (of course with a grain of salt).

…And we hope that’s how you take ours if you listen in, because you may or may not be SHOOK, 🀣.

One thing I will clarify, is that I’m not saying perfection is required.

Something my daughter knows like clockwork at this point (better than clockwork at her age really πŸ˜‰) is that we all make mistakes – even adults – and, as such, I’m regularly apologizing.

But I think that’s a powerful skill to teach.

Not only learning how to apologize, but seeing grace in action.

Thank goodness for grace, because no one needs it more than me.

  1. One day, one hour, one breath at a time and…….find a quiet place to spend time with our creator, who can give us peace and a fresh perspective. On a second note, slow down, before the fast pace might make you, in not a very pleasant way. πŸ™‚

    1. I love the idea of slowing down intentionally before we are made to slow down – it happens regardless. May as well be by choosing to allow that rest to ourselves. I also love the idea of spending time with our Creator for peace and renewal ❀ I need to tap into that more often. Thank you for the reminder, friend!
